Alison Kung-Kellerer AIA Career Connect Panelist

CJ+C Senior Project Architect Alison Kung-Kellerer will be one of the panelists for Thursday’s program of the AIA San Diego Career Connect virtual Career Fair. Throughout her 39 years with CJ+C, Alison has designed projects for both public and private sectors, including institutional, commercial, mixed-use and municipal facilities.

Many pathways lead to a career in architecture; many avenues await you along your journey. Join a diverse group of experienced architects for a panel discussion of designers representing varying areas of focus. Tune in to hear about laboratory planning, construction management, the technical side of project architecture as well as specialization in historic preservation, civic, mixed use and commercial projects. Explore sample projects and a “day in the life” of each panelist; ask them which path they took to get there and why.

Career Connect is on with a week full of opportunities to connect, learn and network with AEC professionals. Did we mention it is completely free? Visit the link in bio to view the lineup, meet the panelists, and register today!

Located on the corner of 24th Avenue and Market Street in the historic Ballard neighborhood, this mixed-use project will create an active urban street life by offering an integrated mix of commercial and residential uses with an array of indoor and outdoor offerings. The design takes inspiration from the distinct neighborhood character and will contribute to the active urban life of Ballard. Construction is expected to start at the end of the year as the design moves forward. Congratulations to all involved in reaching this great milestone!

CJ+C Talent Promotions

We are proud to announce the following promotions within our team!

Our firm is so lucky to have such amazing talent who continue to elevate our skills & knowledge in creating award-winning projects, and exemplify our culture of creative collaboration.

CSU East Bay CORE NetZero Ready

Carrier Johnson + CULTURE (CJ+C) incorporates green practices into our daily design process, with the goal of achieving a high-performance facility that will be a healthy, productive place for its inhabitants.

Our commitment to sustainability is highlighted by our current project, CSU East Bay CORE, which is designed to be NetZero ready. Our team initially created a design to achieve LEED Gold certification based on the RFP and programming requirements. CJ+C then worked with the University and other stakeholders to include design elements such as photovoltaic (PV) panels and energy efficient lighting systems that will allow for the future conversion to NetZero when the Trustees are ready to do so.

Scheduled for completion in May, “The CORE” will become a place of integrated knowledge for the CSU East Bay campus. Serving as the new main library and a 21st Century Learning Center, this facility will provide students and staff with the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a sustainable environment.

DSDP Community Supporter Sponsor
