Park & Market Received 2022 DSDP Create the Future Award

We are proud to announce that our Park & Market project received the Downtown San Diego Partnership (DSDP) 2022 Create the Future Award!  We had a great time at the ceremony honoring “the doers, builders, helpers, and innovators driving the future of our Downtown”.

Spanning a full city block in Downtown San Diego’s East Village, Park & Market provides a complementary mix of public and private uses, including The Merian residential mixed-income 34-story tower, UC San Diego campus, historic Remmen House, retail, amphitheater and public open space and art, all contributing to a vibrant live/learn/work/play community.

“Park and Market is a shining example of a successful transit-oriented, inclusive, mixed-use redevelopment in Downtown San Diego.” – DSDP

Pitzer College Robert Redford Conservancy for Southern California Sustainability Project Featured in “Designing for Zero Carbon: Case Studies of All-Electric Buildings”

To kick-off Earth Month, we are highlighting our Pitzer College Robert Redford Conservancy for Southern California Sustainability project, which is certified Net Zero Energy and LEED Platinum. Located on 12-acres across the main campus, the former infirmary building has been renovated and repurposed as an environmentally sustainable academic facility containing science classrooms, offices, laboratories, meeting rooms, and an art studio.

We are so proud to have this project featured in the book “Designing for Zero Carbon: Case Studies of All-Electric Buildings” written by Edward Thomas Dean, FAIA and published by Southern California Edison (SCE).  It contains “case studies of five different buildings that are all-electric, highly energy-efficient, and will achieve zero-carbon in their operation when the electric utility grid is 100% carbon-free.”
