CSU East Bay CORE NetZero Ready

Carrier Johnson + CULTURE (CJ+C) incorporates green practices into our daily design process, with the goal of achieving a high-performance facility that will be a healthy, productive place for its inhabitants.

Our commitment to sustainability is highlighted by our current project, CSU East Bay CORE, which is designed to be NetZero ready. Our team initially created a design to achieve LEED Gold certification based on the RFP and programming requirements. CJ+C then worked with the University and other stakeholders to include design elements such as photovoltaic (PV) panels and energy efficient lighting systems that will allow for the future conversion to NetZero when the Trustees are ready to do so.

Scheduled for completion in May, “The CORE” will become a place of integrated knowledge for the CSU East Bay campus. Serving as the new main library and a 21st Century Learning Center, this facility will provide students and staff with the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a sustainable environment.
