First Dual-branded Hyatt Development in Los Angeles Opens

We are excited to announce the opening of our project: the Hyatt Place LAX / Century Blvd and Hyatt House LAX / Century Blvd! The design is inspired by the 1960’s architecture. “Guests are greeted by a mix of rich wood tones, geometric light fixtures and tile patterns, multi-layered textures and bold accent colors, complemented by statement pieces like a vintage pool table in the lobby and waffle ceilings retrofitted from the previous office building. Colorful artwork throughout the hotels, curated by Kalisher, is a nod to the Southern California lifestyle with imagery inspired by the geography, activities, and lifestyle, such as surfers and skateboarders, waves crashing and palm trees swaying.”

Point Loma Nazarene University Prayer Chapel Featured in San Diego Business Journal

Thank you, San Diego Business Journal for the article about the Point Loma Nazarene University Lyle and Grace Prescott Memorial Prayer Chapel earning a 2021 International Architecture Award®!  “It’s nice for us to have that kind of facility that’s recognized but I’m really pleased that Gordon Carrier and his team are recognized for their work,” said Bob Brower, Point Loma Nazarene University president. “It is magnificent.”

“The whole chapel is built on the Trinity, all of the dimensions are multiples of three,” Carrier said. “The Trinity is the foundation of the campus, so this really is a symbol of the campus to the word.”
