Gordon R. Carrier Featured in an Article by Taubman College

Thank you, Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning at the University of Michigan for featuring one of your ingenious alumni! Gordon R. Carrier, FAIA, NCARB, design principal and co-founder of Carrier Johnson + CULTURE, has been featured in an article by Taubman College in their Spring 2020 Portico publication. Gordon’s definitive idea of the impact CULTURE has in architecture is actively shown within his firm’s works around the world and the relationships built with the firm’s clients. The article states, “Carrier is drawn to the search for unique architectural outcomes through research-based client engagement — not to elicit a design ‘wow’ factor but to reveal the genuine spirit of a specific client’s need. ‘If we successfully discover that which is unique about our client, i.e., their CULTURE, how could the resultant building solution resemble any other?’ he says.”
