UC Irvine Division of Continuing Education Building certified LEED Platinum

The UC Irvine campus can add another LEED certified project to its growing collection.  The Division of Continuing Education Building (formerly known as UNEX) has been awarded LEED Platinum –  the highest achievement a building can receive.  The 76,298 s.f. building sits next to outdoor plaza spaces, terraces and a pedestrian bridge.The cohesive, interactive design maximized flexibility in support of the far-reaching and evolving curriculum with a wide range of daytime and nighttime uses. Sustainable building elements include: optimized energy performance, water efficient landscaping, use of regional materials, and on-site renewable energy.
